On the recommendation of the Board of the Construction Section, the Main Board of the Royal Institute of Engineers has appointed Ir. Ton Voets as a Member of Merit of the Construction Section for his outstanding services to this section and to KIVI in general.
Ton Voets joined the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) on 1 March 2014. He completed his studies in architecture at Delft University of Technology, which he graduated as an engineer in 1978.
He served as chairman of the Construction Section from 1 March 2014 to 31 December 2021.
He has put a lot of energy into organising events, of which the annual symposia are arguably the most important and of the highest quality. He has always been committed to enabling the Construction Section to function independently and ensured that the Section has felt little to no impact from all the struggles at KIVI. That is what distinguishes a good chairman
