Kooy symposium 2008
Description
On Wednesday 9 April next, the Prof Ir Dr Kooy symposium will take place for the 7th time. This time, the personal protection of the individual military or public order and security officer will take centre stage under the title "The protector protected".
The importance of this topic is underlined both by the frequent incidents during peacekeeping missions and by the violence directed against police officers, for example. We therefore expect an active dialogue on this personal protection issue between the defence and police officers present, the representatives of research institutions and the defence and security industry.
This year's symposium will be held at the Army Museum in Delft, where the context of the development of personal protective equipment through the ages will be provided in a beautiful historical setting. A number of renowned speakers will share their views on the subject with you throughout the symposium. This will be followed by a joint discussion on the importance of this topic, after which the afternoon will be closed with drinks and a buffet.
Due to the special location we have available for the symposium this year, the number of participants is limited. Therefore, those who registered first have priority.
Via the link below, you will find the draft programme with instructions on how to register. After registration, you will be sent a route description and the complete programme for the Kooy symposium.
