On November 1st 2013, the JASON Institute for peace & security issues, organises a conference on SEA POWER focused on the effects of the extension of the maritime power of the People's Republic of China on the rest of the world, especially on the defence of Europe and the Netherlands.

Stichting JASON stands for "Jong Atlantisch Samenwerkings Orgaan Nederland".
JASON sees it as its task to contribute to a balanced supply of information on Atlantic issues (primary) as well as international relations in a broader sense (secondary) by acting as a forum. This, with the aim of promoting opinion formation among students and young academics - in the 18-35 age group - and others interested in international economics, politics and security.
