The first meeting for the Alumni Masterclass is a fact!

LtKol Ing Etiënne Nijenhuijs, MIND Regional Coordinator Brabant. After studying civil engineering and working at Rijkswaterstaat for two years, he joined the Air Force 31 years ago. He held many different positions within Defence : from project and programme manager, policy officer to commander. He also served two deployments, in Bosnia and Afghanistan. He held the last two positions in the field of innovation as Portfolio holder R&D Aerospace at the administrative staff in The Hague and then as Head of Innovation Centre AIR at CLSK. He is now regional coordinator Brabant at COMMMIT/MIND with the main task of shaping sustainable cooperation between the Ministry of Defence, province, research institutes, education and industry. Smarter, Faster and Innovate Together in the context of readiness and upscaling for Main Task 1 is the main theme here.

Nijenhuijs: "I will be happy to explain the latter in my lecture in which I will talk about (ultra) short-cycle innovation in preparation for armed conflict, and the role of Strategic Defence Innovation Research."
