European Commission and European Defence Agency seek experts to evaluate project proposals for Preparatory Action Defence Research (PADR) programme

The European Commission's (EC) first European defence technology research programme is starting to pick up steam. €90 million is available for applied research over the next three years Europe-wide. The first calls have been placed and awarded. More will follow soon, in particular the topics High Energy Laser technology (HEL), System-on-a-chip and technology watch programmes are likely to come up.

The European Commission, together with the European Defence Agency (EDA), is looking for experts to evaluate submitted research programmes. More about this call can be found in this EC publication. It also tells you how to apply.

To be clear: create a profile via this link. This is a complicated process! Above all, do not forget to tick the PADR programme. If you are selected for an evaluation, you will receive €450 per day for your work.
More information can be found in the FAQs.

If you sign up as a PADR evaluator, it is recommended that you briefly let Eddy Flohr of the Ministry of Defence know. You can reach him directly at E: e.flohr@mindef.nl or T: 06-8322 0391.
If desired, you can also communicate this to, or through, the KIVI DV Board: E: dv@kivi.nl

Answers to all your questions can be found on the EC experts website and at the FAQs indicated above.
