The KIVI Departments of Defence and Security, Electrical Engineering, Hydrocarbon Technologies, Mining and Nuclear Technology organised the theme day "Investing in the energy transition" on Thursday 27 March last, together with the Institute for Pension Education (IVP).
At this well-attended theme day, 10 companies presented their projects in the field of energy transition to the financial sector. These were projects with a financial size from €5 million to €100 million, and projects larger than €100 million.
This financial size is of interest to very large asset managers such as US-based BlackRock, which was present with teams from New York and London to hold exploratory talks.
The aforementioned KIVI departments organised substantive knowledge transfer in the field of energy transition by speakers such as Drs Niels Redeker of the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth, Dr Stephanie Heerema of Allseas, Dr Mark Boneschanser of TU Eindhoven, Dr Remco de Boer of the podcast Studio Energie and Prof Samuele Furfari of the ESCP Business School.
Thanks to the cooperation between the various KIVI departments with the IVP, an event came about with both an exchange of technological knowledge and where introductions took place for financing large technological projects in the field of energy transition.
An overview of all speakers and their presentations can be found on the IVP website.
