
KIVI Defence and Security likes to have representatives from all parts of the defence sector on its board. Therefore, we are looking for a technically trained officer from the Royal Air Force (KLu) to join our network of engineers in the defence sector.
Due to the departure of a board member, the department is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic technically trained officer to join our network of engineers in the defence sector from the Royal Air Force (KLu).
This is a three-year volunteer position with the possibility of extension twice.
What is expected of you
Within the departmental board, tasks are divided into portfolios. Depending on your wishes and abilities, you will be assigned one of those portfolios by mutual agreement.
Currently available are: Treasurer, Coordinator of annual Defence for Engineers course, Coordinator of young engineers and KIVI delegate Kooy Symposium.
In addition, you are liaison to CLSK and units of the KLu. In this role, you organise lectures on military aviation and visits to KLu units, among others, once or twice a year. Of course, with support from the KIVI office and other board members. It's all about content.
The average time commitment is about 2-4 hours per week.
Your profile
Required is that you are, or become, a member of KIVI. An actively serving technically trained military in the rank of major to commodore KLu is eligible for this position. Possibly a soldier who has recently gone on LOM. A well-developed network within and outside the Air Force is important.
