ASML
Description
What started as a joint venture of Philips in 1984, based in a wooden outbuilding on the Strijp site in Eindhoven, is now one of the world's leading chip machine manufacturers. The company with a down-to-earth and open corporate culture is a top technology company with a clear entrepreneurial "can do, will do mentality". Despite growing from around 100 pioneers then to around 12,000 employees now, at 70 locations across 16 countries, it has managed to maintain that corporate culture.
On 1 April last, ASML celebrated its 30th anniversary. If you want to get to know more about this inspiring company where team spirit and multidisciplinary working is the driving force and to know why employees talk about the "green light" virus, come to these interesting lectures on the production of chip manufacturing machines. A "state of the art" process whose output governs all our lives.
Some important, if not the most important, aspects of the business are:
a. Multidisciplinary work on products and projects.
b. Development of individual and group competences.
c. Targeted and powerful project management.
d. Development of Co-development, cooperation with specialised companies for design and supply of high-quality (partial) products
