Since 1988, he has been working on innovative DC solutions and plays a key role in international standardisation within IEC and NEN, among others.
His invention Current/OS (standards DC microgrids) is now used worldwide and is an important foundation for safe and efficient DC infrastructures.

Bio Harry Stokman
Harry Stokman is a Dutch electrical engineer, entrepreneur and internationally recognised pioneer in the field of direct current (DC).
Stokman grew up in an entrepreneurial family. His fascination with electrical engineering began at the age of 12, when he accidentally found a DC voltage source while cleaning a school attic. This moment marked the beginning of his lifelong interest in DC technology. He later took courses within electrical engineering (HTS-A and ETS).
Since 1988, he has been active as a DC power entrepreneur and has developed into one of the leading advocates of a global transition to DC power systems.
As KIVI Electrical Engineering, we recognise the enormous value of Harry Stokman's work.
With his early vision on DC power, his role in international standardisation and the development of Current/OS, he is making an essential contribution to safe, efficient and future-proof power systems. A true pioneer who accelerates the energy transition and takes technical innovation to the next level.
