ElaadNL: Webtalk A brief history of OCPP, how the open load point protocol is taking the world by storm!

Recap of ElaadNL Webtalk #42 A brief history of OCPP, how the open charge point protocol is conquering the world!
On Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 November, testers from all over the world come to the Elaad Testlab in Arnhem.
There, they will test the mutual communication between charge points and central computers of different brands and providers.
The aim is that using so-called open protocols such as the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), that communication runs smoothly between all types, brands and models.
OCPP started small in the Netherlands, but has now become the global standard. Some 120 participants are expected and another 280 online from more than 35 countries including Greece, Rwanda, Ecuador and Israel.
Lonneke Driessen (Open Charge Alliance) will give a presentation on the world of open standards in EV and
the history of the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), a protocol that facilitates communication between charging stations and back offices.
OCPP started small in the Netherlands, but has now become the global standard.
What lessons can be learned from the history of OCPP? And how can OCPP and other open standards support the future of EV charging?
Please note that the language of communication during this webinar is English.

Review of ElaadNL Webtalk # 42 OCPP Charging Point Protocol EVs
On Friday 11 November, ElaadNL also hosted the TEPQEV symposium.
As more and more electric cars arrive and they are often charged at the same time, there is a quick need to understand more about what the effects of this are on our power quality.
The TEPQEV project is researching Power Quality and Supraharmonic Disturbances.
During the symposium, a number of leading researchers from home and abroad shared their findings on the subject.
