Description

"The houses being built now and in the near future will still be there in 2050. Will they meet the requirements and wishes of 2050? Are we taking into account important issues of the future?"

In a series of meetings, we want to address this question systematically. Many houses built after the war no longer meet today's standards and wishes. In this series, we want to cover all aspects that could be important for the houses of 2050. In the extensive series of EU2050Powerlab (www.kivi.nl/eu2050powerlab), we have seen what the energy supply of houses will look like in the future and what the required energy demand will be. But apart from energy demand, many other issues are important. Sustainability as a whole becomes important. But also other issues such as a healthy indoor climate in the house and a house that is easy to operate and maintain.

This SECOND MEETING will address the energy balance and look at solutions for 2050. The first speaker will discuss options for existing and future construction with numerous current examples from the energy jump initiative (http://energiesprong.nl/ ). The second speaker will show how we distribute and manage neighbourhood energy in 2050 to deliver reliable decentralised energy and generate returns for all participants. Smart Grid and storage are elements, how do we deal with them now and what is the role in 2050. Examples will come from pilot projects in Amersfoort and Utrecht ( http://www.smartgridrendement.nl/ ). The third speaker will give us quantitative information on the experience of construction and energy generation in sustainable residential areas
