Description

"The houses that will be built now and in the near future will still be there in 2050. Will they meet the requirements and wishes of 2050? Are we taking into account important issues of the future?"

In a series of meetings, we want to address this question systematically. Many houses built after the war no longer meet today's standards and wishes. In this series, we want to cover all aspects that may be important for the houses of 2050.
In the extensive series of EU2050Powerlab (www.kivi.nl/eu2050powerlab), we have seen what the energy supply of houses will look like in the future and what the required energy demand will be.

But there are many other issues besides energy demand.

This fifth meeting's theme is "life stage adaptable".

The home in 2050 is built/renovated so flexibly that life-stage adaptations are well possible, e.g. for growing children, the elderly and those in need of assistance.

Residents are helped by "technical features" in the house or by services. Controls are also adapted for optimal use. The first speaker will tell us what the issues are and what is expected of engineers to achieve adequate technical support (see www.eizt.eu ).

The second speaker will draw on experience in researching acceptance and use of home automation for support (http://www.han.nl/onderzoek/nieuws/masi-mohammadi-domoticako/). Specifically, this issue is already being worked on for the future at Het Dorp ( Arnhem, http://www.siza.nl/Het-Dorp ) where the third speaker is active.

Further up-to-date information will be posted on the dedicated website www.kivi.nl/homelab2050
