NEN3140 applies to the operation of electrical installations. The thrust of the standard is that electrical installations or equipment must be able to be used safely by employees and visitors. Suitable maintenance is indispensable for this. The work, and thus also the maintenance work, must also be carried out safely.
Among other things, NEN3140 stipulates that personnel must meet certain competence requirements. In addition, the electrical installation must be placed under the responsibility of an installation manager. But, there must also be up-to-date drawings of the installation. Working procedures are an important part of the standard to ensure operations.
