Description

On Friday 22 April, KIVI NIRIA is organising an excursion for its members from the Electrical Engineering (and Construction) departments to the TenneT high-voltage substation under construction in Wateringen.

Due to the increase in demand for electricity in the South Holland region, the growing need for electricity transmission, the overloading of the existing 150 kV grid in the region and the security of supply of electricity, TenneT and stakeholders have decided to build a new 380/150 kV switching and transformer substation at the Wateringseveld location. This Wateringseveld substation will be built at Laan van Wateringseveld near the junction with the N211 motorway.
