By then, the energy supply should (virtually) no longer contribute to CO2 emissions; while the 9 billion inhabitants of this earth expected by then should have reached an acceptable level of prosperity. - Prof Dr Patricia Osseweijer (TUD), professor of biotechnology and society at the Faculty of Applied Sciences and appointed as visiting professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology at Putra University, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) from 1 October 2012. She has held the KIVI NIRIA chair in science communication since 2009.

- Prof Dr A.J.H. (Tony) Donné (TU/e), Head of Fusion Research at FOM - DIFFER (Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research; part of FOM). He is also part-time Professor of Diagnostics of Fusion Plasmas at TU/e. He is further actively involved in many international research groups in the field of fusion
