Description

Every year, very interesting projects are carried out by Fontys University of Applied Sciences students. This day is a good opportunity for you to hear and see directly what the Fontys students are designing. You are a guest at the Engineering department (Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering).
In the Engineering study programme at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven, students carry out projects for the business world. In this Integrated Product Development (IPD), students from both departments work together in groups of 4 to 6 students on a problem that comes from professional practice. On 30 January 2013, these projects conclude with a final presentation in which the students present their work to fellow students, lecturers, company supervisors and interested parties. You also view the working results of the projects. You are invited to attend these presentations and talk to students, teachers and clients afterwards about the content of the projects and also how these company projects are experienced.

The programme will start with a guest speaker on a current topic and continue with a number of parallel sessions from which you can choose your own. A break is included in the programme so that you can join in between if necessary. The programme will be announced approximately 2 weeks in advance.
Nominated projects will then be assessed by a jury on behalf of the lecturers and KIVI NIRIA. The best project will be nominated for the election of the best project 2013. The students of the best project will be awarded the KIVI NIRIA annual prize during the festive closing ceremony in July 2013.
