Roadmap Making NL Energy Systems More Sustainable
Description
The chairman of the Association of Solar Power Plants Mr Sietse de Haan invites you to attend the annual meeting with two presentations on Saturday 4 February 2017.
After the discussion of the usual papers for the meeting, including the board election (we still have vacancies), the presentations will follow:
Ir. Frans Rooijers director of CE-Delft has been prepared to give a lecture on: The Dutch energy system, roadmap to a far-reaching sustainable scenario.
He will give a presentation on the possibilities and feasibility of obtaining a climate-neutral energy system in 2050.
The expected energy use in 2050 and the associated consequences will be discussed.
It will also be made clear that we really need to move towards zero or smaller CO2 emissions in the energy system because non-energy related activities also emit CO2 (e.g. agriculture) within the international context.
Addition by Mr Sietse de Haan:
An autarkic energy system for the Netherlands is hardly possible and also not desirable.
In addition, a speaker from Green Desert Solutions will give an update on where they are now, one year after the foundation.
The meeting will be concluded with networking drinks at Green Desert Solutions.
