Whitepaper
At the webinar, the whitepaper 'Offshore wind business feasibility in a flexible and electrified Dutch market by 2030' was presented. Download here the whitepaper.
Offshore wind energy is growing enormously, but this growth comes with several challenges.
To maximise the value of large volumes of wind energy in the future energy system, it is necessary to enable positive business cases for developers.
Many variables come into play when investing in wind farms. Not only is much more energy being extracted from wind.
New combinations of wind farms with solar fields and increasing collaboration with industry that links wind with conversion and storage are also emerging.
Business case
TNO offers insights and recommendations to realise a profitable offshore wind business in 2030. Two scenarios have been developed using TNO's business models for the European electricity market.
These scenarios represent the Dutch electricity system at low and high electrification growth, respectively, and follow current national and European policies.
