Alignment ETV and KIVI Electrical Engineering

At the working visit of KIVI-Electrotechnology members to the study association ETV (Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science) in Delft, it was agreed that the publications of activities of the Electrical Engineering department can be presented on the monitors of the EWI in Delft. ETV Lustrum

Offer from KIVI E to support organisation. The Lustrum year will open in mid-September.

One of the activities during the year is a Symposium. This may present an opportunity for KIVI E to support ETV in the organisation.

Previously, a symposium "intelligent grids" (in English) was jointly organised. That became a great success.

What can KIVI do for the young engineer?

To Lisanne, potential president of ETV, was explained :

  • What is KIVI and what KIVI can offer to engineers of various ages, such as advocacy, networking with fellow engineers , coaching and training to become a Chartered Engineer (Engineer Yourself),
  • Participation in KIVI company visits, excursions and lectures.
  • Student Board membership on the KIVI Electrical Engineering Board is always possible and desired.
  • KIVI-Academy Trainings and courses; for example Cybersecurity Essentials by Cisco or a Leadership course for Engineers at TU Delft.

Further opportunities to work out with students include:

  • KIVI coaching for guidance and reflection on career and career choices, specific situations that people are struggling with
  • Guidance and (financial) support for studying abroad
  • Network of more than 18,000 technical professionals available with thousands of contacts with businesses, (government) agencies and educational institutions, which can help with career choices, exchange of (technical) knowledge and experience, etc
  • Participating in communities to discuss and think along with current themes, such as energy transition, sustainability and circularity, climate change and adaptation, mobility, food supply, healthcare, nitrogen and nutrients, etc
  • Social gatherings aimed at relaxation and fun
