Nuclear Physics Accelerator Institute
Description
The Nuclear Physics Accelerator Institute (KVI) of the University of Groningen has a superconducting cyclotron (AGOR) that generates beams of high-energy ions for experiments on fundamental interactions.
The Department of Technical Physics of KIVI NIRIA is organising an excursion to the KVI on Friday 15 February 2013 from 14:00 to 16:00. There will be a general introduction about the institute's scientific activities and about superconducting cyclotron technology. This will be followed by a tour of the facilities.
Participation in this excursion is limited to about 20 people, so please register quickly. Participants are expected at 14:00 at the main entrance of the laboratory, Zernikelaan 25, 9747 AA Groningen.
There is no participation fee for the excursion to KVI
