Technical Physics

KIVI TECHNICAL PHYSICS DEPARTMENT
Applied physics in industry and research
KIVI's Department of Engineering Physics is active in the field of applied physics in industry and research. Members of the department work in a wide range of disciplines.
Knowledge sharing and networking activities
Therefore, the Department for Applied Physics organises activities that
- provide members with a broader view of interesting physics
- introduce members to companies and institutes
- enables members to meet colleagues and make contacts (networking).
From company visits to social discussions
Thus, the department organises working visits to companies and institutes where leading technical physics research is carried out, organises lectures on relevant societal physics topics, including through symposia and webinars, and tries to make contributions in discussions on societal problems in which technical physics aspects are important.
Collaborations
In achieving its goals, the department strives to cooperate with other KIVI departments and with associations and communities within and outside KIVI. Also through cooperation with faculties at universities and colleges where physical engineers are trained and with the relevant study associations.
