Final meeting Energy Dialogue
Description
The final meeting is a mini-conference, in which the outcomes of the three introductions will be developed into a summary report of technical, social and economic solutions for the energy challenges in Industry, Mobility and Agro until 2050.
The meeting will be led by Josee van Eijndhoven and is the conclusion of a series of meetings, in which KIVI engineers will give their views on the Energy Report. In the autumn of 2016, this Energy Dialogue will be presented to the Minister.
About the content of the mini-conference
The evening will start with a timeline, connecting the past, present and future regarding the challenges in Industry, Mobility and Agro.
Our Crowd-Writing document forms the basis, containing the introductions by Renate van Drimmelen (March, 2016), Johan Slobbe (April 2016) and Johan Sanders (May 2016), complemented by the room discussions and submitted feedback, until 15 June you can add your own opinion, view or argument. Below is a link to those three documents.
We will then engage in three separate interactive roundtable sessions focused on the three themes. During the meal break, we will reconvene to hear and discuss the state of play on each roundtable theme. Fuelled by 't food and that discussion, we will again conduct each other at the three roundtables towards an enumerative report. Finally, we will present this to each other & attendees from EZ, followed by initial reflection from EZ and, hopefully, an outlook on follow-up steps by KIVI with EZ.
See the links below for the relevant documents. Click on the link and ask to be authorised. We will then do so right away.
About the Energy Report:
The Energy Report 2015 provides an integral vision of the future energy supply in the Netherlands. In drafting the Energy Report, use was made of the advice "Rijk zonder CO2, naar een duurzame energievoorziening in 2050" by the Council for the Environment and Infrastructure (Rli).
The Energy Report deals with the longer term: Dutch energy policy after 2023. It is thus the missing link between the 2013 Energy Agreement and the Paris agreements of mid-2015 to finally curb warming. The energy agreement defines how we will achieve 16 per cent sustainably generated energy and substantial energy savings in the short term, until 2023 at the latest. The Paris climate agreements are about reducing CO2 emissions within Europe to 95 per cent by 2050.
With the Energy Report, the government is inviting citizens, businesses, knowledge institutions, other public authorities and civil society organisations to participate in a social dialogue in 2016. In it, everyone can have their say on the desired strategy for shaping our future energy supply in a sustainable way.
