Description

Prior to this, from 19.15 - 19.45 hours, the annual General Assembly will also take place, to which interested TME members are of course also very welcome (see for the agenda at the bottom of this convocation).

The meeting will be introduced by Prof P. (Paul) Rademaker, Jeroen van den Berg and Karen Jonkers.
In 1972, the Club of Rome put itself on the map in one fell swoop with the release of the high-profile report "The Limits to Growth". This report painted a picture of an increasing world population and exponential growth of economic activities. The Club of Rome warned the world of running out of essential resources within a few decades.
Paul Rademaker, former president Club of Rome Netherlands, will explain the impact the Club of Rome has had on developments over the past 40 years. Questions such as "Was the Club of Rome right?", "What has been learned in the past 40 years?", and "How does the Club of Rome view developments in the coming years?" will be addressed.
Jeroen van den Berg will give a brief overview of the historical development of the Club of Rome section Netherlands. Karen Jonkers guides the discussion and enthusiastically talks about the activities of the Young Club of Rome. Members of Young KIVI-NIRIA can expect an equally fascinating evening as members who have known the CoR for longer.

We would be delighted to welcome you to this evening. There is no charge for participation.
