Social media
Description
Prior to this, from 19.00 - 19.30 hours, the annual General Members' Meeting will also take place, to which interested TME members are of course also warmly welcome (see for the agenda at the bottom of this convocation).
The meeting will be introduced by Dr David Langley (TNO) and Laurens Waling (Alares).
The first presentation will use many examples to explain what has really changed now that the internet and social media are an integral part of everyday life. These examples illustrate only the first tentative steps in the large-scale changes we can expect. Attention is given to disruptive cases, including the new phenomenon of "slacktivism" (lazy activism) and constructive use of the new possibilities. Furthermore, future possibilities and what companies and government can do now to keep up with the developments and take advantage of the new opportunities will be discussed.
In the second talk, the presenter takes the audience through the 'social revolution' currently sweeping through society. Through social media, the masses are taking power from the elite. What impact is this new ICT having on society? The speaker shows examples of large-scale changes in health care, and tells how he himself is bringing about change in youth care. In doing so, he uses social media as a tool. Keywords: MarcoWikinomics, Easycracy, Social Capital, The New World of Work, Lifehacking and Thinking 2.0 http://youtu.be/YLLz5Cdrjo8
We very much appreciate welcoming you to this evening. There is no charge for participation. Registration is from 7.30 pm
