Geo-Impuls products
Description
This meeting, led by prof.ir. Frits van Tol (TUDelft / Deltares), will focus on the products of the Geo-Impuls programme. From its inception in 2009 to its final completion in 2015, Geo-Impuls has the goal, compared to 2009, of halving the number of incidents due to geotechnical failure by 2015.
Geo-Impuls is a collaboration of clients, contractors, knowledge institutes and engineering firms. Twelve Working Groups have worked hard in recent years to better manage the three top geotechnical risks: subsidence or collapse (Engineering), anomalous ground conditions (Contracts) and loss of support (Environment).
The meeting will give the audience ('Geotechnical Netherlands') tools to start working with new tools, focusing on practical application possibilities and examples. Attention will also be paid to the role of others in the project environment, such as contract and risk managers, so that they too can be convinced of the usefulness of the tools and will commit to using them.
The short product sessions will generally consist of 15 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of discussion
