WEBINAR Open source geotechnics
On Thursday 8 April, KIVI Geotechnics is offering a webinar on Open Source Geotechnics. This webinar by KIVI Geotechnics provides an overview of geotechnical tools and scripts available in the Netherlands and abroad. Rob van Putten of Waternet and Breinbaas and Aaron Noordam of Deltares explain how they develop and make available open source software, from simple python scripts to more complex finite element models and GIS applications.

16.30: Brief introduction KIVI and KIVI Geotechnics
16.45: Rob van Putten, Waternet/Brainboss: Rob gives an insight into the relevance of open source and how you can tap into it yourself. He also gives an overview of open source developments including CPT viewers, the Python library for dyke strength calculations MLas and code to generate geotechnical profiles.
17.15: Aaron Noordam, Deltares: Aaron gives an overview of developments in geotechnical open source tools, including developments in GeoLib, Kratos Open Source and the OURS project.
