Apply for award for best graduates in the field of GEO-ENGINEERING

During Geotechnical Engineering Day on 9 November 2021, awards will again be presented for graduates who contribute to the development of the field of Geo-engineering: building with, in and on the ground. Since 2009, these awards have been called the Keverling Buisman Prize.

Day in, day out, we live, live, build, work, walk, drive on and over the ground, but few are aware of the special properties that soil has as a building material. To change this, KIVI Geotechnics and Deltares are awarding the Keverling Buisman Prize, this year in two categories:

  • Best Geo-engineering graduate from TUs
  • Best Geo-engineering graduate from HBO institutions

You can apply now (until 1 September 2021) for candidates in the above categories. The organisation will make a selection from the applications, from which the jury will ultimately choose the prize winners.

If you know people who you think should not be left out to compete for this prize, please register them with a brief explanation by e-mail to ellen.teriele@deltares.nl. The period of completion of graduation work runs from 1 September 2019 to 1 September 2021. An overview of the nominees will be published on https://www.kivi.nl/afdelingen/geotechniek/ prior to Geotechnics Day.

Nominees will receive free admission to the Geotechnics Day. Award winners will receive a memento and a matching cash prize.

On behalf of KIVI Geotechnics,

Bas Vos.
