Outdoor day Zeeuws-Vlaanderen
I am pleased to draw your attention to our first activity in 2021 without Teams or Zoom connection, namely our annual lecture outside Delft that we organise together with the association Histechnica. Such an "Outdoor Day" generally consists of a visit to an interesting technology museum or industrial heritage site where usually the lecture also takes place. This year this lecture will take place at the Industrieel Museum Zeeland in Sas van Gent with an extensive programme, the topic being:
"The History of the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal and the Industrialisation of the Canal Zone"
Furthermore, the official presentation by KIVI-GdT of our
Willem Wolff Prize 2019 for the Exhibition Picture Clocks
The boards are pleased that the award ceremony postponed by the coronavirus can now take place. Not only because of the special exhibition Timepieces but also because we can introduce our members to a jewel unknown to most of you: the Industrial Museum Zeeland.
By coach
As Sas van Gent is very difficult to reach by public transport, we recommend using the touring car provided by our travel foundation.
Provisional programme

- After arrival Presentation of WWP prize with short lecture on Prikklokken

For the costs, we ask for a contribution of €35 pp.
One guest per member is allowed. In case of oversubscription, lots will be drawn and members will be given preference. Because of the coach and the museum, the maximum number of participants is 50.
Registration is possible until 15 August via the KIVI website and by payment of € 35 pp. If you are not using the touring car, please register by paying €25 pp.
There will be a refund - contrary to what is stated in the confirmation - if participation is not possible due to corona measures, oversubscription or if you cancel before 30 August 2021.
Covid
For visiting the museum, the following measures apply: https://industrieelmuseumzeeland.nl/coronamaatregelen/. For lunch, the applicable corona rules for restaurants obviously apply.
Participants on the bus trip must prove before departure that they have been vaccinated twice before 27 August (or once with Janssen), have recently tested negative or had a corona infection and have been declared cured. Mouth caps are mandatory on the bus.
This is the current state of affairs. You will receive final instructions one week before departure and in the interim we will keep registrants informed of changes of interest.
