Spring excursion 2009 Twente-Münsterland

The boards of Histechnica and KIVI NIRIA, Department of History of Technology, cordially invite you to the spring 2009 excursion to "Twente - Münsterland", to be organised on:
Thursday 30 April 2009 and Friday 1 May 2009
The spring excursion has been prepared by ir. J.B. Vercauteren and ir. F.W. Versfelt.
PROGRAMME (with reservations):
Thursday 30 April
Visit to the Westfälische Industriemuseum "Textilmuseum" in Bocholt; lunch in restaurant "Schiffchen"; steam sawmill Nahuus with carpentry workshop in Groenlo; local railway museum in Haaksbergen and a ride on a diesel train from Haaksbergen to Boekelo . The day ends with a visit to the new Roombeek district in Enschede.
Friday 1 May
Visit to the Gradierwerke in Rheine, part of the Bentlager Dreiklang; the partly restored industrial estate with the spinning mill of Gerrit van Delden and Co. in Gronau; lunch in Losser; brick factory De Werklust in Losser. The excursion concludes with a visit to the HEIM (Twents Industriemuseum) in Hengelo.
Registration is already underway due to possible other reservations at the hotel during the long weekend from 30 April to 3 May 2009, therefore registration closes on 1 February 2009.
The order of entry is normative for participation. The number of participants is limited to 38 persons.
