Foreign excursion to south-west Poland (Silesia)
Saturday 23 May outward trip to Wroclaw.
This biennial long foreign-excursion starts in the city of Wroclaw including a visit by historic tram to the tram depot and the Centennial Hall, the railway museum and the Church of Peace.
Then a visit to Katowice including the porcelain museum and a zinc-rolling mill.
Finally to Krakow with optional opportunity to visit Auschwitz. Near Krakow a visit to a salt mine (Unesco World Heritage Site) and an old but active stained-glass window workshop. And, of course, Krakow itself.
Saturday 30 May return to the Netherlands.
You will arrange your own travel to and from Poland. Thus, if you wish, you can easily extend your visit. Travel can be by car, train or plane for which we will make suggestions.
Our travel commissioner, Han Heijmans, has the programme ready!
