TURINE and BOLOGNA
Unfortunately, due to the Corona virus outbreak, this trip could not take place. Efforts are now being made to organise a similar trip in 2021.
7-day study tour TURINE AND BOLOGNA Sunday 19 to Saturday 25 April 2020
The Stichting Studiereizen Technisch Erfgoed organises multi-day study trips for members of Histechnica and the KIVI Department of the History of Engineering. Each year, this alternates between a domestic (2-day) and a foreign (5-7-day) trip. On these trips, particular attention is paid to special monuments related to industrial archaeology. Furthermore, the trips are characterised by the good atmosphere.

Transport to Turin and back from Bologna
This transport is not included in the trip price. It has emerged that a large number of members interested in this trip have a wish to go to Turin earlier before the start of the programme and/or to stay longer in Bologna/Italy after the end of the trip. For this reason, the organisation has decided not to make reservations through a group booking with KLM. This also offers the possibility to save costs. For 18 participants, there is the possibility of booking the aforementioned connecting KLM flights by our organisation. If you sign up for this on the registration form, you simultaneously commit to an amount never exceeding € 220 if you are selected. An invoice is also sent with the booked E-flight ticket. Payment at KLM's cost must be made within two weeks of receipt. Hold baggage is not included in the price. If you wish to take hold baggage, this is at your own expense. If more than 18 participants apply for this service, the order of the draw will be followed.

Allocation for participation
Participation is limited to 40 members. Over the past few years, the number of members signing up for participation became increasingly large, causing oversubscription and we had to disappoint a number of members. The "first come, first served" system used until 2018 was not considered fair by everyone. It was therefore decided to draw lots in case of oversubscription. This time, priority will be given to those who had applied for the trip to Hamburg but could not join. The extent to which priority will be given to subsequent trips will be determined in future years by the Board on a reasonable and discretionary basis for each trip.
You can register for participation by transferring €100 per person to bank account number NL05 INGB 0006 8413 40 of the Stichting Studiereizen Technisch Erfgoed, stating "Down payment Italy 2020" and the name(s) for whom the down payment is being made. You should also send in the fully completed registration form by E-mail. Only those, whose deposit and form are received by 18 November 2019, midnight, will participate in the draw.
The registration form can be found in the attached document 'Convocation Turin and Bologna' (button on the right).
We look forward to your participation in this seven-day study tour!
