About KIVI

The Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) is an association, with over 60 departments forming the heart of the association and divided as follows:

  • around professional themes
  • regional departments throughout the country
  • with a multidisciplinary social basis
  • Young KIVI for young engineers and students

The departments organise hundreds of activities every year in the context of knowledge exchange, debate and strengthening their own network. Members have the choice of joining one or more departments.

About the Industrial Design Department

Afdeling Industrieel Ontwerpen organises a KIVI College every month to give yourself the opportunity to keep abreast of what is going on in IO-land. For in-depth topics, we organise an external KIVI Special several times a year, where we usually visit a company. Each meeting ends with drinks, to talk about the lecture and to network over a drink.

Besides the meetings we organise, we have a lot of experience within KIVI with all kinds of support: KIVI Extra. For example, you can take advantage of career guidance, discounts on insurance and study subsidies.

To facilitate contact with other industrial designers, we have a KIVI Database. This gives you online access to the full membership database, which can be found here on the site. It is also possible to register via the website for participation in training courses, workshops, lectures, excursions, conferences and company visits.

A detailed description of these four features of KIVI IO are explained here:
