Want to hang something on the wall or want a drill?
'Do you want to hang something on the wall or do you want a drill?'

What do you do when your product can do so much that you can't see the wood for the trees? Often, we think we know what our customers want. We know the market, right?
Why do you buy a drill anyway? Because you want a hole in the wall? Or because you want to hang something on the wall? Could you possibly use another product for this? Users buy products or services to get something done.
By nature, we tend to think in terms of solutions and in doing so, we quickly improve an existing solution. Noor Reigersman likes to tell you how, as a designer, you can uncover the underlying 'jobs to be done' and how you and your team can translate these into a product that really helps people.
