As will surely not have escaped your notice, the measures surrounding the coronavirus have been extended and tightened until 1 June. The KIVI IO Board has therefore decided to cancel the KIVI College of 6 May 2020 (René van Geer - First response 'Focus Point').

As an industrial designer with more than 30 years of experience, van Geer has learned to look holistically; especially through the child seat projects for Maxi Cosi. In every project, the crux lies in small details.

After 20 years of hard work in creative services, the 2008 crisis meant an abrupt end for SPIRID, studio for Industrial Design. A shortage of orders, several tonnes of debt and bank and tax authority repossessions made working hard. Christmas 2008, we made a decision. We were going to develop another successful product. This time not for a customer, but for our own label. It became a search for the 'ultimate cardholder'. October 2009 saw the launch of the Cardprotector. Completely made in Holland. At the start, we resolutely stated that eight employees would be the maximum. Since then, there are one hundred and twenty. A great dynamic team with an average age of 29.

Van Geer will tell more about this on 6 May at the office in Binckhaven, The Hague. Please note! This KIVI College will take place in The Hague! If you travel by public transport, you will be between 15 - 30 min on the road from The Hague HS or The Hague Central Station.
