IOB 2008
Description
On 26 and 27 November, the 8th edition of the IOB (Industrial Design Business Fair) will be held, which this year will last for two days!
The aim of the IOB Business Fair is to bring together students, companies, designers and organisations. All from the field of Industrial Design. For companies, the fair gives the opportunity to get acquainted with IO students and their specific knowledge, expertise and skills.
For students, there is the opportunity to get in touch with companies by visiting stands, lectures and participating in speed dating.
About thirty-four companies will be represented with a stand. The different companies appeal to different masters. For example, there are companies that focus specifically on Strategic Product Design, Design For Interaction or Integrated Product Design.
1200 visitors are expected spread over the two days. These visitors come from Delft, but also from other parts of the country such as Eindhoven and Twente. Because of the international nature of the fair, there will also be international students coming from all over the world.
Several interesting lectures will be given at the fair. These will be given by participating companies. In these lectures, students can learn even more about the activities of these companies but also, for example, how to take a product from idea to "the shelves".
In the speed dating activity, companies and students can talk very briefly and specifically about a possible internship or graduation place.
