15.00 h Parallel sessions

Lisette van Gemert, Saskia Kelders, Geke Ludden and Thomas van Rompay:
This workshop is a co-production of Industrial Design and Behavioural Sciences. In this workshop, we highlight in the context of eHealth how technology can entice its users. The aim of this workshop is to show and further explore how a socio-technical approach can promote user-centricity of technology. Technology offers many opportunities to make eHealth interventions more attractive, in practice, however, the charismatic properties of technology are not sufficiently exploited. The result is: high drop-out rates (in distance care), one-sided reach (only highly educated women) and boredom (little stimulating technology).
