®60: Techn. Innovation as Evol. Process
Description
Evolution is often used as a metaphor for the process of innovation. Do new products emerge from nothing? Or can predecessors be identified? Does it make sense to describe innovation processes over time? What insights can this evolutionary metaphor bring to the process of technological innovation? These questions served as the starting point for my research entitled 'Technological Innovation as an Evolutionary Process'. Using a case study on the development of the energy-saving light bulb, the insights from this research will be explained
