'Indes' 'Hub & Spoke' model
Like most design firms, Indes started with 'commissioned design'. Over the years, an activity has been added: 'new business development together with partners'. There are already agencies that develop products up to and including the zero series, Indes goes a few steps further: they take care of production and assembly as well. The working method: concept development in the Netherlands, materialisation and production in China. Indes has its own production facility in China (the 'Hub'), where assembly takes place. Production is outsourced to various companies and organised from the Hub (the 'Spokes')
