'Wayfinding is more than just signs'
Flow, routing, orientation and information are tools to make our environment navigable. Increasingly, city planners and architects are expected to make their areas and buildings 'intuitive'. The fewer signs the better is the aspiration. But that is only possible if wayfinding requirements become a permanent part of their programme of requirements and as self-evident as lighting, air treatment and environmental friendliness requirements.
