A designer's playbook to circular products

Thijs Feenstra is Circular Product Design Lead at Pezy Group, he has more than 17 years of experience in concept development, engineering and circularity. Operating at the intersection of product development and material recovery, Thijs helps organisations move from circular ambition to practical and scalable implementation. With a focus on recycled plastics, he shows how designers can concretely integrate circularity into their design process. What does it mean not only to design before recycling, but also to think from available recyclate streams?

The presentation builds on insights from the European POLYCE and INCREACE projects, which focused on high-performance plastics recycling and the link between product development and material recovery. In addition, this meeting is a good time to reflect on the book to be launched in Berlin on 26 March, which brings together these guidelines and practical lessons.

This event will only take place OFFLINE on Wednesday 1 April 2026.
