Description

The role of making things has changed dramatically due to the rise of the computer.
Products used to be developed in the workshop and nowadays mainly at the computer. Is this only a positive development or has something also been lost? And, how can we recapture what has been lost, or is in danger of being lost?

This is the key question that will be asked and discussed on the evening of 17 May based on three lectures, from as many angles.
- The importance of "making" in the design process
- The consumer as "maker"
- The importance of the sense of touch in the "making" of craft products
