Description

We are delighted to invite you to a lecture given by Mr Jacob Vossestein. Mr Vossestein -intercultural trainer with years of experience and author of several books- will discuss the connection of a number of typical traits of non-Western cultures, building on his own experiences from the group and contrasting them with Dutch customs: steeper hierarchy (taking little initiative, submissiveness?), indirectness ("saying yes but doing no"), hospitality ("they slaughter their last chicken for you"), religion, giving positive feedback, and several others.
You will probably also come into frequent contact with people from different cultural backgrounds. Therefore, there will be plenty of room for discussion following the lecture.

Also, we also invite you to the second General Members' Meeting of the trade department. This will take place prior to Mr Vossestein's lecture. In this short meeting, we will present what IZG has done since the 1st ALV and will introduce two new board members to you. In between, lunch will be available.
