Description

On Sunday, April 12th, EWB will be working with Metabolic to host a workshop around slum redevelopment in Nairobi, Kenya. The case is real; a local community group has purchased two plots of land in the slum and aim to develop examples of two-story buildings that can go 'viral' within the slum and include things like fire safety, community facilities, local and affordable materials, etc.

The workshop will start with an overview of the situation and some Q&A, and then the group will split into smaller subgroups to take their own unique approach to the challenge. Those who would like to stay involved after the workshop as advisers for the project on the ground are more than welcome.

Participants will receive some materials before the workshop to acquaint themselves with the project.
