Flood protection asset management
Description
At the end of February 2017, the HAN and Van Hall Larenstein signed an agreement providing for a shared lectureship Sustainable River Management. This lectureship combines the knowledge of Van Hall Larenstein and the HAN in areas such as land and water management, (aquatic) ecology and civil engineering.
Wednesday 14 June next, the inauguration of Jeroen Rijke as lecturer Sustainable River Management will take place. Prior to the inauguration, the Science-Policy Debate 'Flood Protection Asset Management' will be organised. Here, flood protection managers and scientists from the North Sea region will share their experiences on effective and efficient management and strengthening of flood defences.
