Description

Street lighting that communicates with cars. Real-time tracking of the progress of a multi-million dollar project. Carrying out maintenance inspection using drones and sensors. More and more 'High Tech' tools are available to the civil engineer.
Constantly, new methods are being found to monitor and model reality. New techniques facilitate the civil engineer's work and also enable him or her to tackle increasingly complex problems. Looking to the future, the question remains: what will be the High Tech tools with which the modern engineer may get to work?

Framework
The "High Tech Civil Engineering" symposium will examine today's leading techniques and tomorrow's new technologies. It looks at the tools that have been given to the engineer in recent years, which allow his work to be carried out more efficiently. Also under discussion are the obstacles that these new techniques bring. Can they replace human work, or will a controlling hand behind the technology always be needed?
The modern engineer's 'High Tech' toolkit is bigger today than ever. How can smart and optimal use of it lead to tomorrow's edge?
