Networking meeting Water manager 2.0
Description
The Water Manager 2.0 network will meet again on 14 September. The Water Manager 2.0 Network was established following a session at the LEF where a group of young water professionals came together to gather new insights on working as a "young person" in the water sector. In the context of terms like "organic", "dynamic", "network" and "young", we have a desire to continue learning from each other in an informal way. Not a fixed or large-scale event, but an informal meeting from time to time characterised by knowledge sharing and, of course, conviviality.
The theme of the meeting on 14 September is:
"Market perspective in the water sector and what it means for the young water professional (i.e. you)"
During the meeting, we will first look at the current situation in the water sector: here and there, contracts are not being renewed and reports of hourly rates of 35 euros are appearing. How do those present experience the situation?
On the other hand, there are calls that there will be far too few young people entering the sector in the coming years. This while it is expected that budget cuts will still leave their mark on the water sector. Again, we will discuss this with the participants.
At the end of the afternoon, we will still not have certainty about what lies ahead. But we will know how other young water professionals are currently experiencing the water sector and we will have gained new insights about working in the water sector in a fun way. The drinks at the end (own contribution desired) will ensure a pleasant conclusion.
