Description
On 1 February 2013, it will be 60 years since Zeeland, South Holland, West Brabant and also Texel were hit by the water. Reason for KIVI NIRIA and the Watersnoodmuseum to jointly organise a series of nine lectures in the run-up to the commemoration on 1 February. From Thursday 29 November to 31 January, with the exception of 27 December, there will be an interesting lecture every Thursday afternoon at the Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk.
On behalf of the CDA, Koppejan was a member of the Lower House of the States General from 2006 to 2012. As MP, he was the spokesperson on Economy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, International Trade, SMEs, Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), Recreation and Tourism, Fisheries, Postal Market and Telecom and Internet.
As an MP from Zeeland, he was also concerned with all things political in Zeeland.
The issue that was in the news the most was the Hedwigepolder. Koppejan gained notoriety by being the only member of the CDA party to vote against the depoldering of the Hedwigepolder. Before joining the House of Representatives, he was self-employed, which was halted when he was a member of the Lower House; he has since picked up his own business again.
Each lecture has the following programme:

16.00-17.00: Lecture
17.00-17.30: Snack and drink to talk afterwards
