Guided tour of Noordwaard
Description
More and more water is flowing through our rivers and more often this will lead to high water levels. To continue achieving the required water safety standards, dykes are being reinforced, but more space is also being given to rivers. As part of the Room for the River programme, the Noordwaard, a polder near Werkendam, has been de-poldered. The area has an area of almost 4,500 hectares and has been almost entirely reclaimed. Work has now been completed, formally handing over Noordwaard in its new form. Will you also come and see the results of this unique project?
There are only a limited number of places available. First come, first served. Upon receipt and our confirmation of your registration, you will receive directions to the gathering point at the Noordwaard.
