What has become clear prior to and during Jeroen Rijke's inauguration is that Sustainable River Management incorporates all aspects of the ambitions of Van Hall Larenstein and the University of Applied Sciences of Arnhem and Nijmegen (HAN). This professorship requires interdisciplinary research education and international cooperation and knowledge sharing with fellow institutions, industry and government.
Jeroen Rijke's inauguration was ceremoniously sealed by Peter van Dongen and Diana de Jong (member of HAN's Executive Board) in the presence of international speakers and guests. The HAN and Van Hall Larenstein have the joint ambition to apply the principles of the circular economy to water management in collaboration with international partners.
