Description

The (annual) General Assembly of the KIVI Medical Technology Section will be held on 6 March 2018. The ALV will be followed by a regular board meeting. Soup and sandwiches already will be provided. Afterwards, the board is happy to invite you for drinks.

Due to KIVI's policy to encourage advancement in the departmental boards, three board members have reached the end of their maximum term, and are therefore no longer eligible for re-election. For this reason, we are urgently looking for new board members! The ALV is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the board.
The location is within walking distance of the NS railway station (10 min). There are parking spaces (limited) behind the building.

For the position of chairman, current board member Eras Draaijers stood for election.
For the position of secretary, current board member Ward Cottaar stood for election.

Note: The board is of the opinion that the term "bio" in the name of our department in the current zeitgeist is too reminiscent of life sciences (as in WUR - Wageningen University Research) and less reminiscent of the hard (medical) technology the department focuses on. We believe that KIVI is selling itself short with this and have therefore proposed to the Council of Members to change 'biomedical technology' to 'medical technology'. The Council of Members approved this proposal at its meeting on 14 December last
